Everyday is like Sunday

I have been extremely busy at work lately,
so I haven't been able to update as much.
I will try to make this as short and as
sweet as possible.

First, I went swimming with Tiff and
Booth and the kids. The pools are going
to be closing, and swimming is much more
fun with youngsters.
So just some videos again of those
adorable kiddies.

Olivia pretending to sing in the car.

I started to dance in the car. This did
not make her happy.

Weston and Boston singing a dinosaur song I believe.
I might sound impatient, but the minute I get there
they are all talking to me at the same time, non-stop.

Okay, generally Sunday's are extremely boring
for me. I just sit and watch cartoons. I decided
last Sunday I didn't want to sit on my ass.
So I was going to spend it downtown. I really enjoy
going downtown and just wandering. I didn't feel like
begging anyone to come with me. So it was a day
to myself.

I started off at the library to get some books.
I usually just buy them, but I am broke as of late.
And it's been a long time since I've been to the
Salt Lake Library. It's such a beautiful builing.

Then I walked over to the City County Building.
This is my favorite building in Salt Lake.
I love the architecture.

As I was taking this picture, a homeless guy decided
he couldn't make it to the bushes quick enough, so
he just peed along the sidewalk on the way there.
Ahhh....downtown.

This picture turned out great. My little digital
camera did me proud. Click on it to get a better
look.

When you get close there are so many little details.
There are some gargoyles and creepy little faces
everywhere.

I decided I wanted lunch. I headed to Cafe Trangs,
which is my favorite Chinese restaurant. But they
didn't open until 4:00. So I opted to go to
PF Changs. I forgot how expensive it was. But
the Egg Drop Soup is the best I've ever had.

I had a lovely lunch with my new book I just
got from the library. Yes I did take a lame
picture of the table. I was not about to have
my waitress take a picture of me by myself.

So then I was off to the Broadway Centre Theater
to watch Hamlet 2. This and Tower Theater are the
only two where I can watch independant
films. I get my foreign film fix here.
This film was so hilarious, and Steve Coogan
is a comic genious. I had only seen him in
two other films: Tristram Shandy and Tropic Thunder.
Oh man, he is so great in this movie.

After the movie, I wanted to wander some more and
see some of lovely shops downtown. But the rain
and wind was not letting up, so I headed home.
It was a nice day, but I will say, it's always
nice to have someone to share it with.

It is lovely to share those days but man does it sound absolutely wonderful. I love PF Changs. Ryan and I used to go there after the library as well. Oh, SL will always be home to us.

Also that picture is quite crisp and clear. It is an amazing pic with just a little digital.

Love the Library, love downtown... but I have forsaken PF Chang's for Pei Wei. Same food for 1/2 the price... but you have to go to suburbia for that one. Thaiphoon at the gateway is my new fav pan-Asian restaurant, but probably about the same in price as Chang's.

I love that you had the whole day to yourself. I can't remember the last time I did that. I did take my first 5 hr road trip by myself recently, though. It was liberating. :)

Okay, this is the last time I am going to attempt to leave a comment. Fourth time is a charm? If not, I'll just crawl back into my bloggy hole. I commented a while back on some of my favorite Burning Man pics. Aw well.
Smeish, I DO have a blog. Interesting? No. But it exists. It's marenandjake at the same blogspot as everyone elses.
Love ya.
oh, I love the county building too.

MERN! I swear I see your comments. But I see them long after you've commented. You are generally late. I will be checking out your blog, and I'm glad you've finally stopped stalking....you stalker.

When I dance MaKell covers her ears, not sure how she thinks that will help!! I love downtown, any downtown, I just love being in the city. Great pics, and I love that Tiffany's kids love you so much and want your attention non-stop, what a cool aunt!

Teisha you are awesome to go and do that all by yourself! I seriously would be too scared to just go hang out and go to lunch and then a movie by myself. I'm a loser like that. Anyway I'm with Jess on Pei Wei. MMM BOY!

P.S. I remember hanging out downtown with you a few times. Remember when we tried to find that tree that had the virgin mary carved in it? Never did find it did we?

We didn't, but that is now my goal for this weekend. Thanks for reminding me.

isnt that what a sister and nieces and nephews are for? to keep you company? it would be just a little more crazy though, and we would have had to do more childish things.
